The Art Department at Columbus North High School teaches fundamental skills in a range of media and artistic processes. Students are introduced to a variety of techniques in two-dimensional and three-dimensional media that serve as the building blocks for a solid foundation in artistic practice. As they continually acquire and improve upon fundamental skills central to all visual art mediums – composition, form, light, color, line, shape, texture, etc. – students learn to think independently and solve problems creatively.
